Job summary

Smiles 4 Life in Columbus is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant who loves working with kids and teens. You will support orthodontists during procedures, take X-rays, and help create a friendly, stress-free patient experience.

This full-time role offers daytime hours, some Saturdays, and a benefits package including voluntary benefits, 401K, PTO, CE opportunities, and bonuses.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred, but training available.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Experience with Denticon or iTero is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow in a kid-friendly environment.

Requirements:

• X‑ray and CPR certification is required

• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid‑friendly environment.

Schedule:

• Some Saturdays may be required
• Daytime hours – No nights!
