Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Youngstown is seeking a reliable, energetic Orthodontic Assistant to support our pediatric patients and caregivers. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist orthodontists, take X-rays, maintain instruments, and help create a kid-friendly, stress-free visit.

X-ray and CPR certification are required; a minimum of 1 year in an ortho practice is preferred, with training offered for the right person. This full-time role offers a flexible schedule with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred; we will train the right person.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
