Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant in Tyler, Texas to join our orthodontic team. You will prepare patients for treatment and assist the orthodontist with chair-side procedures while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include patient education, charting, material preparation, impressions/scans, sterilization, and aseptic workflow in a fast-paced dental practice.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• State licensure where specified.
• Valid dental radiographer license for the state.
• Commitment to providing exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support to doctors, including charting, operatory set up/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and ensures forms are signed in the dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor.
• Ability to change and remove wires, brackets, and adhesive; take impressions and scans; prepare teeth for bonding.
• Prepares treatment estimates for review and discussion with patient.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up trays and instruments.
• Sterilizes and disinfects instruments, prepares materials, and assists dentist per OSHA guidelines.
