Job summary

Smile Doctors in Austin, TX is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. You’ll assist with orthodontic appliance placement, manage patient records, and support the Orthodontist in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You’ll review patient data, perform basic lab tasks, monitor remote patient activity, and educate patients on care and remote monitoring. A high school diploma and relevant certifications help you succeed in our supportive culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification may be required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification may be required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification may be required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard including review/triage patient scans, responding to direct patient messages, and triage notifications.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
