Job summary

Haltom Orthodontics in New Mexico is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support doctors and the clinical team across multiple office locations. You will prepare patients, assist during procedures, take records, educate patients, and help maintain accurate records in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires at least one year of orthodontic or dental assisting experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to travel between office locations as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures and assist the doctor during treatment.
• Take diagnostic records (photos, impressions, radiographs) as allowed by state regulations.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment, appliances, and oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Ensure operatories and instruments are sterilized and maintained.
• Support patient flow and create a positive clinical experience.
• Travel to multiple office locations to support patient care.
