Qualifications

• Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
• Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred.
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered chairside manner.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental office.
• Knowledge of dental practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient examinations, adjustments, and orthodontic procedures.
• Place and remove orthodontic brackets, bands, wires, and ligatures under doctor supervision.
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions for treatment planning.
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, compliant treatment area.
• Greet patients, manage appointment flow, and ensure a positive patient experience.
