Job summary

Kids Dental Place in Glendale, CA is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality chair-side support to the orthodontist and assist with records in the EHR system. This role reports to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and offers growth within the practice and region.

You will maintain a clean, welcoming environment, help with patient history, and collaborate with the team to deliver compassionate dental and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Friendly outgoing demeanor and ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus.
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner.
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families.
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients including restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Pay range: $24-$31/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications
