Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Van Nuys, CA seeks an Orthodontic Assistant to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care under the Lead Orthodontic Assistant. You will collect patient records, perform radiographs, and educate families on oral health in a friendly environment.

The role requires radiology training, strong communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining OSHA-compliant sterilization and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training required by state
• Strong interpersonal skills and friendly demeanor
• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks accurately and on time
• Familiarity with eCW (e-Clinical Works) is a plus
• Previous dental office experience preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient records clearly and accurately
• Take radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as directed
• Write consistent chart notes and ensure services match records
• Educate patients and parents on oral health and foster a friendly atmosphere
• Sterilize instruments and maintain clean workstations per OSHA standards
• Keep the practice clean and presentable, including restrooms and lobby
• Support the mission by performing other duties as needed

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics

in Van Nuys, CA, is currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.

Pay range: $18-$26/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
