Job Description

The orthodontic clinical assistant's role is to ensure each patient receives outstanding, personalized service during treatment appointments.

Responsibilities

1. Arrive at least 15 minutes early for each clinical day, prepared for team meetings.
2. Provide a patient-friendly environment, ensuring timely appointments and greeting patients by name.
3. Build individual relationships with patients and their families over time.
4. Serve as chairside assistant, proficient in procedures like photographs, radiographs, impressions, digital scans, wire changes, bracket placements, expander placements, aligner and retainer checks, and retainer fabrication.
5. Use orthodontic terminology accurately in chart notes.
6. Manage practice software effectively for scheduling and assist with phone coverage.
7. Manage clinical flow to see 12-15 patients daily efficiently.
8. Provide orthodontic care instructions to patients and parents throughout treatment.
9. Assist with instrument sterilization using appropriate methods.
10. Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members for smooth operations.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the doctor.

Qualifications

• Dental x-ray certification required.
