Job summary

Southern Orthodontic Partners is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. This full-time role focuses on chairside assisting, patient education, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting orthodontists, managing braces placement, taking X-rays and progress photos, and maintaining sterile, ready-to-work treatment rooms. Join a team dedicated to excellent patient experiences and growth.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant (preferred)
• RDA or CDA certification (preferred)
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented mindset

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands (as directed)
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed

We are hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. This is a full-time dental assisting position ideal for someone who enjoys chairside assisting, patient education, and working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Physical Requirements
