Job summary

Southern Orthodontic Partners is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant for a full-time role in our Virginia offices. You’ll support orthodontists chairside, educate patients, and help maintain smooth clinical operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of dental assisting experience (preferred) and an RDA or CDA certification (preferred). We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a collaborative team environment across our practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands (as directed)
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed

We are hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. This is a full-time dental assisting position ideal for someone who enjoys chairside assisting, patient education, and working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands (as directed)

Requirements
