Job summary

Turpin Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established Ruston, Monroe, and West Monroe locations in Louisiana. The role requires attention to detail and a patient-centered approach, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Thursday and Friday half-days.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
• Must be willing to travel weekly to Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations.

Responsibilities

• Taking extraoral and intraoral photographs
• Taking dental impressions
• Sterilization and packaging of orthodontic instruments
• Disinfecting equipment and operatories
• Maintaining inventory control of lab equipment, supplies, instruments, and consumables
• Preparing clinicians’ chair-side set-ups
• Tying and untying patients
• Applying orthodontic appliances under supervision
• Pouring models
• Fabricating retainers
• Cleaning the lab and operatories, sweeping/mopping as needed
• Providing oral hygiene and home care instructions to patients and family members
• Adherence to OSHA and HIPAA regulations

Overview

Turpin Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established locations in Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston, Louisiana! The best candidate for this role has strong attention to detail and a patient-centered mindset.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday - Thursday from 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM
• Fridays from 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM
