Job summary

Turpin Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our Ruston/West Monroe/Monroe team. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail and a patient-centered mindset, and is willing to travel weekly to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of orthodontic assisting experience is required.
• Must be willing to travel to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

• Take extraoral and intraoral photographs.
• Take dental impressions.
• Sterilize and package orthodontic instruments.
• Disinfect equipment and operatories.
• Maintain inventory control of lab equipment, supplies, instruments, and consumables.
• Prepare clinicians’ chair‑side set‑ups.
• Tie and untie patients.
• Apply orthodontic appliances under supervision of the orthodontist.
• Pour models.
• Fabricate retainers.
• Clean the lab and operatories, sweep/mop as needed.
• Clean common areas and remove trash.
• Provide oral hygiene and home care instructions to patients and family members.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Turpin Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established Ruston/West Monroe/Monroe team! Schedule:

• Full-time.
• Monday through Thursday from 7:45AM-5:15PM.
• Fridays from 7:45AM to 12:00PM.

Job Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
