Job summary

Turpin Orthodontics is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant to join our Ruston/West Monroe/Monroe team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with a patient-centered mindset and will travel weekly to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations.

The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive benefits. Prior orthodontic assisting experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of orthodontic assisting experience required.
• Willingness to travel weekly to Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations.

Responsibilities

• Take extraoral and intraoral photographs.
• Take dental impressions.
• Sterilize and package orthodontic instruments.
• Disinfect equipment and operatories.
• Maintain inventory of lab equipment, supplies, and consumables.
• Prepare chair-side set-ups for clinicians.
• Assist with fitting orthodontic appliances under supervision.
• Pour models and fabricate retainers.
• Clean lab and operatories, and manage waste.
• Provide oral hygiene and home care instructions.

Turpin Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established Ruston/West Monroe/Monroe team! Schedule:

• Full-time.
• Monday through Thursday from 7:45AM-5:15PM.
• Fridays from 7:45AM to 12:00PM.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of orthodontic assisting experience is required.
• Must be willing to travel to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations on a weekly basis.

Job Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Taking extraoral and intraoral photographs.
• Taking dental impressions.
• Sterilization and packaging of orthodontic instruments.
• Disinfecting equipment and operatories.
• Maintaining inventory control of all lab equipment, supplies, instruments, and consumables.
• Preparing clinicians’ chair‑side set‑ups.
• Tying and untying patients.
• Applying orthodontic appliances under the supervision of the orthodontist.
• Pouring models.
• Fabricating retainers.
• Cleaning the lab and operatories, sweeping/mopping as needed.
• Cleaning common areas and removing the trash.
• Providing oral hygiene and home care instructions to patients and family members.
• And adherence to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
