Image Orthodontics in Rocklin, CA is hiring a compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our fast-paced practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at communicating with patients, especially children, during various procedures.

Qualifications

• CA RDA licensure required.
• 1+ year orthodontic experience preferred.
• Outgoing and friendly personality.
• Enjoy working with children.

• Excellent attendance and punctuality record.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during orthodontic procedures.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
• Take dental X-rays as ordered.
• Maintain infection control and sterilize instruments.
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide administrative support when needed.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Current CA RDA licensure
• 1+ years of Orthodontic experience
• An outgoing and friendly personality
• Must enjoy working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities Include

• Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
• Take dental x-rays according to dentist's orders.
• Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (tooth brushing, flossing, etc.)
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide administrative support when necessary.
