Job summary

Image Orthodontics is seeking a compassionate orthodontic assistant to join our busy practice. You will work closely with dentists to assist with orthodontic procedures and ensure patient comfort, especially for children.

The role requires CA RDA licensure and at least 1 year of orthodontic experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. A full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM–5:00 PM, is provided along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CA RDA licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of orthodontic experience.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with excellent communication.
• Enjoy working with children and ensuring their comfort.
• Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and families.
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated reliability with attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of orthodontic procedures.
• Set up and breakdown operatory after treatment.
• Take dental x-rays as ordered by the dentist.
• Maintain infection control: sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-visit routines (brushing, flossing, etc.).
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide administrative support when needed.

Key Qualifications and Skills
