Lone Peak Dental Group is seeking a versatile Dental Assistant with experience in Orthodontics and Pediatric dentistry. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice is preferred, but we will train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Pediatric assisting: comfort children and parents, explain procedures in kid-friendly terms
• Perform pediatric prophys, apply fluoride, take digital radiographs, and place sealants
• Behavior management to ensure safe, smooth appointments
• Sterilization of instruments and disinfection of treatment rooms per OSHA/CDCs guidelines
• Inventory management and notifying Lead Assistant of supply/equipment needs

In this role, you will split your expertise between creating a fun, anxiety-free environment for our youngest patients and executing precise, high-quality orthodontic assisting. We are currently offering both Full-Time and Part-Time options to accommodate the right candidate's schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Pediatric Assisting:

• Patient Comfort: Welcome children and parents, explaining procedures in simple, kid-friendly terms to alleviate dental anxiety
• Procedures: Perform pediatric prophys, apply fluoride treatments, take high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays), and place sealants.
• Behavior Management: Utilize positive reinforcement and child-management techniques to ensure a safe, smooth appointment.

General Clinical Duties:

• Sterilization: Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment rooms strictly adhering to OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines
• Inventory: Keep clinical areas stocked and notify the Lead Assistant of inventory or equipment maintenance
