Job summary

Adventure Dental & Orthodontics in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care. Reports to Lead Orthodontic Assistant. Pay range: $20-$28/hr with a $1000 sign on bonus.

Responsibilities include chair-side assistance, patient history in EHR, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Minimum qualifications include radiology training compliant with state requirements, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to listen to patients and families.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and on time.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus.
• Previous experience in a dental office preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side orthodontic assistance by fitting bands, bonding, archwires, appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner.
• Collect and record patient medical history in an Electronic Health Records system.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality care and patient experience.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable, including restrooms and lobby areas.
• Assist with other duties supporting high-quality dental, vision, and orthodontic services.

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
