Job summary

Adventure Dental & Orthodontics in Baltimore, MD is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

You will collect and document patient records, obtain radiographs, write accurate notes, educate patients and parents about oral health, organize and sterilize instruments, keep the lobby and restrooms tidy, and help with other duties to advance care for underserved children.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training per state requirements.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor and strong listening skills.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and promptly.
• Experience with dental software preferred (eCW a plus).
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient records clearly and accurately.
• Obtain dental radiographs as requested by the dentist.
• Write accurate notes ensuring chart notes match services.

Adventure Dental & Orthodontics in Baltimore, MD, is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.
Pay range: $17-$28/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
