RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician for our Barnabas Health Medical Group facility in River Edge, NJ. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging with attention to patient comfort and safety, while supporting providers with evaluation and procedures.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT and NJ state licenses, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of x-ray department experience. EPIC knowledge is a plus, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and patient communication.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or physician’s office.
• 1-3 years experience as an x-ray technician performing diagnostic radiography.
• ARRT certification and New Jersey state license required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• CPR certification (AHA) required; EPIC knowledge a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Take approximately 40 x-rays per day with multiple views for various procedures.
• Assist physicians with evaluation, treatment and special procedures.
• Coordinate reading of all x-ray films with physicians.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Prepare patients for physician evaluation and explain procedures.
• Log x-ray films accurately and maintain filing and documentation.
• Operate basic radiology equipment and oversee film production as needed.
• Represent the clinic professionally in person, by phone, and in writing.
