RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician in Jersey City, NJ. This day shift, full-time position requires ARRT certification and NJ state license, with 1–3 years of radiology experience.

The role includes producing diagnostic images, coordinating with physicians, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining records in a fast-paced Orthopedics North department. Located at 100 Town Square Pl Suite 208, Jersey City, this role offers competitive hourly pay and a supportive team environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or physician's office.
• 1-3 years experience as an x-ray technician performing diagnostic radiography.
• Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and NJ state license.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• CPR Certification per AHA; EPIC knowledge a plus.
• Carestream XR and Horizon Health Care PACS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography and produce high-quality x-ray images.
• Coordinate reading of x-ray films with physicians and maintain patient records.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality throughout imaging procedures.
• Prepare patients for evaluation and assist physicians with procedures as needed.
• Maintain equipment, log data, and organize exam rooms for efficiency.
