Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit in Illinois. The unit supports acute ortho and urology surgical patients, with a 41-bed capacity and RN/LPN teamwork to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The role includes med administration, wound care, drains, and IV therapies on a fast-paced, trauma-informed floor. Responsibilities include charting assessments and care plans after RN actions, collaborating with physicians/APPs, and performing NG care, ostomy changes, and

Qualifications

• LPN responsible for oral meds, IV piggyback meds and trach care after RN assessment.
• Performs dressing changes, NG tube insertions/feeds per protocol when needed.
• Care for ostomy and central line care with lab draws as required.

Responsabilités

• Charts assessments on assigned patients after the RN initial assessment.
• Charts on care plans opened by the RN; assist with new plans as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs to receive orders and plan care.
• Insert and care for NG tube and feedings; manage ostomy care.
• Complete dressing changes and trach care as needed; reinforce education.
