Medical City Plano is seeking an Ortho Trauma Registered Nurse Supervisor to coordinate nursing care and resources for a high-demand unit. The CNC directs care, supports leadership, and models our mission for exceptional patient experiences and outcomes.

You will oversee admissions, discharges, staffing, and service quality, collaborating with managers to sustain a patient-first culture and efficient unit operations across shifts in a major Plano hospital.

Qualifications

• RN with current license to practice in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Experience coordinating nursing care across units and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with managers to create a teamwork-focused environment for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds.
• Recommends interviews, training, performance evaluations, and personnel actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and equipment/supply management.
