Job summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Ortho Neuro Trauma unit. You will influence patient care through collaborative relationships and involvement in councils and nursing initiatives, shaping decisions for better outcomes and the future of nursing.

The CNC coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care, directs nursing services with the management team, and supports staffing, training, and policy compliance to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• Associate degree or higher RN education (Diploma/BSN acceptable).
• 2+ years RN experience in Med/Surg or Ortho/Neuro/Trauma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across the shift to ensure high quality, patient-centered outcomes.
• Direct and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with management.
• Advise staff on staffing, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Lead initiatives to improve engagement and implement nursing strategies (rounding, hourly rounds).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff; manage scheduling and productivity.
