Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for the Ortho Surgical Floor to coordinate direct and indirect patient care across shifts. The role emphasizes patient flow, staff mentoring, and regulatory readiness, with on-call expectations and potential for growth.

The position requires an approved nursing program, VA RN licensure, and 2 years of acute care experience; a BSN is preferred. This on-site role offers a $15,000 sign-on for eligible candidates and a competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
• 2 years of experience in acute care setting or specialized unit preferred.
• Registered Nurse with a current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs and patient flow.
• Demonstrate ASPIRE values in attitude and communication.
• Evaluate patient progress and take corrective actions to improve care and meet Quality Indicators.
• Participate in MD rounds/Huddles as applicable.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Support staff development and engagement and assist with staffing and scheduling.
