Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is hiring a Surgical Technician to assist surgeons with procedures, maintain sterile techniques, and support OR operations. Ortho experience is required along with CST certification and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program within 18 months of hire.
• CST certification or grandfathered status per state regulations.
• Prefer 1–2 years of clinical OR experience (0–2 years acceptable).
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ortho OR experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment and instrumentation for procedures.
• Set up sterile field with instruments, drapes, and solutions for operations.
• Follow state and federal regulations while attending to patients.
• Assist with pre-procedure skin prep and patient positioning as needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Maintain counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Assist with decontamination, sterilization, and quality testing of sterilization processes.
• Help transport patients to the procedure room and assist with transfers.
