Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedics unit on the weekend shift. This day shift role covers 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with an on-site, full-time schedule totaling 36 hours weekly.

The RN will apply the nursing process, coordinate patient care, and uphold Mercy's service standards. Candidates should have an RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure) and BLS certification; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Missouri RN licensure or compact licensure required/able to obtain.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other hospital departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
