Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedics unit on the weekend. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing direct patient care and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality, and maintaining alignment with Mercy Service Standards and mission values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN, Nursing Diploma or BSN.
• Current RN license in Missouri or compactlicensure per state regulations.
• BLS certification required; may be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Prior hospital experience preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
