Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedics unit on the Weekend shift. The role uses the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care within a busy orthopedic service line. This full-time position offers a 36-hour week with a day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on weekends, located at Mercy in St.

Louis, Missouri. A Missouri RN license (or compact) and BLS are required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.
• BLS certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.
• Prior experience in orthopedics or similar clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
