Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join NT4 on a 41-bed unit specializing in joint replacements and complex trauma care. The role includes comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with surgeons and the care team.

Responsibilities include implementing the care plan, documenting progress, educating patients and families, and ensuring patient safety per unit standards.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Education: Nursing Diploma; Associate‘s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Assesses patients on admission and develops care plans.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Coordinates with physicians and care team to manage ortho and medical/surgical patients.
• Delegates and monitors interventions of HCT staff.
• Sets up ortho traction and manages wound care devices.
