Job summary

Carle Health's North Tower 4 (NT4) unit in Detroit seeks a Registered Nurse to care for a diverse patient population, including joint replacements and complex trauma. The 41-bed unit holds Advanced Certification for Hip and Knee Replacements and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants with 1+ year of experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required as per state regulations.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory.
• Experience in nursing with direct patient care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Assesses patients on admission and develops an appropriate care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Ensures patient safety and communicates with the care team to resolve issues.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, and medication management.
• Coordinates with physicians and surgeons on patient care.
