Job summary

Atrium Health's Medical Plaza Miller is a fast-paced orthopedic clinic seeking a registered nurse to join a collaborative, patient-centered team. You will apply the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, coordinate with the care team, and ensure accurate EHR documentation in a high-volume setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and flexibility to float between units as needed, with adherence to safety and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Licensed RN with applicable state privileges.
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions and coordinates with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety.
• Regularly evaluates outcomes and acts accordingly.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately.
• Pursues ongoing education and maintains certifications.
• Follows ANA ethics and provides unbiased patient care.
• Delegates to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed staff as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient age-specific care needs.
