Job summary

Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance seeks an experienced Pre-Op/PACU RN PRN for the new Ambulatory Surgery Center – Center for Advanced Orthopedics in Lenexa, KS. You will provide direct nursing care before and after procedures, ensuring safe preparation and effective post-anesthesia recovery prior to discharge.

Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, IV access, medication administration, and educating patients to optimize outcomes and patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN providing perioperative nursing care.
• Experience with pre-op assessments and PACU recovery.
• Ability to educate patients and families on care and post-op instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-operative assessment, health history review, and vital signs.
• Verify consent, H&P, labs, and orders are complete.
• Initiate IV access and administer pre-op medications as ordered.
• Educate patients/families on procedure expectations and post-op care.
• Coordinate patient flow to the operating room.
