Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Ortho team. The role supports front desk operations, answers calls, schedules appointments, registers patients in EPIC, and coordinates labs and off-site tests while verifying insurance coverage.

Hourly pay is commensurate with experience; location includes Elmhurst and Naperville sites. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with travel to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Keyboard and computer skills.
• A valid driver's license is required if off-site location duties are performed.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk coverage under supervision and per policy.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, greet patients, and register new patients in EPIC.
• Schedule laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physicians; verify insurance eligibility and interpret benefits.
• Process patient charges by totaling fees, applying coverage, calculating adjustments, and recording payments.
• Clinic set-up and other office support as needed.
