Job summary

Barnes‑Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to join the Ortho care team. This full‑time role involves 36 hours weekly with night shifts from 7p to 7:30a, rotating holidays and weekends, and working in a collaborative care setting.

The position emphasizes direct patient care, vital signs, ADLs assistance, and patient safety, supported by a multidisciplinary team. CNA certification is required, with comprehensive benefits available through BJC Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No Experience required.
• Licensed CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) credential required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under supervision of the nurse.
• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Performs vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education; maintains accurate documentation.
