Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Med/Surg Patient Care Technician on a full-time night shift (36 hours/week). You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help maintain patient safety on a busy unit.

The role supports a multidisciplinary team in a setting known for high-quality patient care, with rotating holidays and weekends and shift differentials offered as part of BJC Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification strongly preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Assists with ADLs and monitors vital signs.
• Reports patient status changes to the nurse.
• Maintains patient safety and helps with education.
• Ensures supplies and equipment availability.
