Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in Missouri is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support a team on a 38-bed surgical unit. You will deliver direct patient care under licensed nurses, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, patient-centered environment during night shifts.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and CNA certification; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision, promoting patient-family centered care.
• Administers or assists with ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention.
• Performs urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point-of-care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education; documents care activities using medical terminology.
