Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Orthopedics unit. This full-time day shift offers a 36-hour week with three 12-hour days and rotating weekends/holidays, in a 35-bed unit with strong leadership and team support.

You will provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, assist with activities of daily living, transport patients, and document care. Requirements include a high school diploma and training; CPI and BCLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• CNA/PCT training program required upon hire or EMT training may be considered.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI training within 90 days upon hire required.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients.
• May transfer or transport patients.
• Enter orders into computer or manual system as applicable.
• Document accurately and appropriately.
• Collaborate with nurse to adapt care to patient population.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
