Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) in Orthopedics for full-time days. The role provides basic patient care under nursing supervision, including feeding, hygiene, mobility, and safety measures.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support a fast-paced unit. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year acute care experience preferred, and a TX CNA/PCT training program upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• TX CNA or PCT Training Program required upon hire.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients.
• May transfer or transport patients as needed.
• Maintain patient environment in a clean, safe condition.
• Collect and report patient data to the nurse and document appropriately.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes and adapt care per patient needs.
