Qualifications

• BSN required; if bachelor's degree is not in nursing, graduate degree must be in nursing.
• Maryland RN licensure or eligibility under compact state agreements.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience required.
• Advanced certification within three years of assuming the position.
• ACLS, BLS and/or other certifications to match patient populations served.

Responsibilities

• Assumes delegated operational accountability for clinical performance, staffing, and quality outcomes.
• Engages in high-quality patient- and family-centered care and monitors safety metrics.
• Develops emerging leaders through mentoring, coaching, and succession planning.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and supports survey readiness and accreditation efforts.
• Manages onboarding, orientation, and competency validation for staff.
• Promotes shared governance and a culture of continuous improvement.
