Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient and assess developmental needs.
• Ability to interpret information to meet age-specific needs and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Establishes and maintains communication and uses teaching opportunities for patient learning.
• Provides age-appropriate care to patients on the unit.
• Collaborates with physicians regarding patient condition, orders, and treatment plans.
• Demonstrates accountability and leadership with LPNs, aides, and support staff.
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures, and practices to ensure quality care and compliance.
• Maintains unit-specific competencies for patient care.
• Displays service excellence in line with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
