Qualifications

• This position requires an RN license and strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of basic medical office procedures and equipment is essential.
• Experience with throat cultures, hemocues, hemoccults, glucometer, urinalysis, and pregnancy testing is preferred.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to age of patients and demonstrate growth and development knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily staff assignments ensuring patient and provider needs are met.
• Direct daily care and monitor supplies, instruments and equipment within the department.
• Provide ongoing supervision to office staff and patients/customers.
• Ensure compliance with governmental agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Serve on committees and complete required reports timely.
• Promote service-oriented philosophy in interactions with patients, families, staff, and public.
• Encourage communication and professional service to all customers and address issues.
• Adhere to policies and regulations and ensure controls are in place.
• Assist others with duties to maintain smooth operations.
• Present service excellence indicators and support staff education on service practices.
• Work with office coordinator to maintain relationships between secretarial and nursing staff.
