Job summary

HonorHealth in Glendale, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to provide front and back office support in Orthopedics-Deer Valley. You will escort patients, maintain exam rooms, file records, and schedule appointments while assisting clinicians with exams and procedures.

Knowledge of injections, phlebotomy, vital signs, and CLIA-waived testing is important for success. Required are a high school diploma or GED and completion of a MA training program; BLS and a Fingerprint Clearance Card are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a medical assisting training program required.
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Fingerprint clearance card required.

Responsibilities

• Provide front and back office support and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and manage patient records.
• Schedule appointments and relay messages to providers.
• Assist clinicians with exams and procedures as needed.
• Coordinate insurance authorizations and referrals.
