Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant II for future opportunities in our Triangle practices. The role supports dentists, manages treatment coordination, and maintains operatory readiness.

The ideal candidate has DAII training or equivalent, CDA certification or radiology cert, CPR, and familiarity with practice management software like Eaglesoft or Denticon. Travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• DAII Training or equivalent.
• Preferred 2-5 years of Dental Assistant experience.
• Achieved CDA certification, radiology equivalency or CODA-accredited program.
• CPR certified or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to present clinical information to patients regarding treatment plans and insurance.
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon a plus.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Teamwork and initiative in a fast-paced dental practice.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment.
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and presents treatment plans to patients.
• Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles.
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Collects and records patient health histories.
• Assists with patient management during dental procedures.
• Completes instrument cleaning, sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms.
• Prepares dental materials and equipment for scheduled treatment.
• Completes dental charting.
• Is responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties.
