Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Full-time Ortho Dental Assistant for our Orthodontic practice at the Monkey Junction and Porters Neck offices in Wilmington, NC. Join a team focused on delivering smiles and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting the dentist, coordinating treatments, scheduling, charting, instrument sterilization, and ensuring smooth patient flow across locations. Prior experience with Eaglesoft or Denticon is a plus.

Qualifications

• DAII training or equivalent.
• CDA certification or radiological equivalency or CODA-accredited program.
• CPR certification or will obtain CPR within 30 days.
• Ability to present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance to patients.
• Familiarity with Eaglesoft or Denticon is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment.
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plans to patients.
• Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles.
• Maintains dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Collects and records patient health histories.
• Assists with patient management during dental procedures.
• Completes instrument cleaning, sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms.
• Prepares dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatment.
• Completes dental charting.
• Responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties.
