Job summary

NC Pediatric Dentistry in Concord, NC is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our pediatric-focused team. You will support orthodontists during procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and educate patients on care for braces and appliances.

Ideal candidates have experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, strong communication, and a commitment to HIPAA privacy and high-quality patient experiences in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar dental clinic role.
• Familiarity with orthodontics and pediatric dentistry terminology and procedures.
• Knowledge of infection control practices in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is advantageous.
• Strong communication with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Commitment to HIPAA confidentiality and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures, including braces placement and adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile treatment area and sterile instruments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care for orthodontic appliances.
• Take medical imaging as required with high-quality results.
• Maintain patient records in Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
