Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an acute care orthopedic surgical setting. You will provide high-quality, individualized patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team and advocate for patient safety and ethical nursing practice.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, and at least two years of direct patient care. You will use evidence-based practice, document thoroughly, and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Associates or diploma in nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient with technology and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual and cultural needs, fostering partnerships with patients and families.
• Coordinate safe care through effective communication, documentation, and teamwork, supporting performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as preceptor or mentor to promote a competent, professional nursing workforce.
• Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
• Participate in developing protocols, optimizing resource use, and supporting system-wide care initiatives.
