The role involves coordinating with judges, attorneys, and the public on filings, hearings, adoptions, guardianships, and appellate matters.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related legal experience, with strong communication, organizational, and data management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5 years related legal experience including trusts, estate planning, guardianships, and adoptions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with the public and co-workers.
• Accurate, detail-oriented with strong time-management and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff within the Orphans’ Court Department.
• Develop departmental procedures and workflow improvements.
• Coordinate hearings and court operations with judges and staff.
• Process electronic and counter filings and oversee adoptions and guardianships.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports for the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) and maintain records.
