Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a CNC Machinist / GD&T to set up and operate manual, CNC and grinding machines, interpret drawings and GD&T, and fabricate complex parts to exacting tolerances.

You will use micrometers, calipers, and CMMs to verify dimensions, propose manufacturability improvements, and contribute to process optimization. This role requires 4–5 axis equipment experience and readiness to work shifts per union guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with precision machining, measuring, and setup on manual and CNC tools.
• Ability to read GD&T and apply ANSI/military specifications.
• Proficiency with multiple axis milling/turning and grinding operations.
• Experience with EDM is a plus and ability to adjust machines as needed.
• U.S. citizen and able to work at a facility requiring special access.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run manual and CNC machines for drilling, boring, milling, and turning.
• Operate grinding equipment to form, sharpen, and finish tooling.
• Read and apply drawings, GD&T, and specs to fabricate parts.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to verify dimensions and surface finish.
• Suggest design or process improvements to enhance manufacturability and cycle time.
