Job summary

Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to work onsite in Orlando, FL. You will compound and dispense medications, maintain daily production, and support patient care within regulatory guidelines. Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited Pharmacy degree (BS Pharmacy or PharmD) is required.
• Current Florida pharmacist license in good standing is required.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work with other departments to resolve issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule for peak times.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians; interpret prescriptions.
• Verify and confirm prescription details and drug information with physicians/patients.
• Review controlled substances for validity and maintain compliance.
• Enter/verify prescription data accurately in the system.
• Collaborate with physicians to convert to generic or preferred drugs when possible.
• Counsel patients on medication use and potential interactions.
• Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced staff.
